My mommy was induced on September 17th, 2007 at 4pm because she had very high blood presure. I was stuborn
and did not want to come out and was determined not to make it easy on my mommy or the doctor.
Mommy was in labor for 20 hours! She really wanted to have a natural birth but after
18 hours everyone was worried about me because they could not get a consistant monitoring of my heart and they thought they
might have to do an emergancy C-Section and convinced my mommy to get an epidual that they hoped would help progress the labor.
Well it took mommy's pain away but didn't really help much. I told you I did not want to come out ;-)
Finally though I had no choice and decided to give in. I had to because this scary
looking sucking device known as the vaccumm or suction was determined to yank me out. Mommy didn't have to wait long now.
After about 2 minutes I was out. I was not breathing and mommy along with Nana and great nanny who were with mommy were very
scared and they all said a prayer. Fianlly after a very scary minute which to mommy felt like an eternity I breathed
and let them all hear how unhappy I was with being ripped away from my comfy home.
I was born on September 18th, 2007 at 12:58pm. I weighed 5lbs 12oz at birth
and the day I got to go home, September 21st 2007 I weighed 5lbz 8oz.
I was so small and mommy was nervous. She did not get much sleep for the first
week because she would always be checking on me. She was so sleep deprived that she would just fall alseep doing whatever
she was doing at the time, like reading or checking her emails.
Finally mommy and I had a talk and she realized that I was a fighter and that she
can relax and enjoy being a mommy. I am fine and will continue to be so. (OK so Nana kind of helped me here).
Nana stayed with us until the new year and I loved having her
close by. I'm Nana's little angel and I cannot wait to see her again.
I live with my great nanny as well and I love it. She makes me laugh
and I love talking with her. I know mommy really appeciates having someone to help her when I get a little difficult, which
is hardly ever ;-)
